PT. Chemone Indonesia, through its subsidiary company, PT. Hutan Asri Nusantara that focus on Forestry Industry in West Kalimantan made donations for the victims affected due to flood in Sanggau, Sekadau, Melawi and Sintang.
The donation was welcomed by the Governor of West Kalimantan H. Sutarmidji, and his team in Governor’s Hall, handed over symbolically by CEO of PT. ChemOne Indonesia, Mr. Martin Siswanto on 16th November 2021.
Mr Martin confirmed that PT. ChemOne Indonesia will distribute emergency packages of basic goods in form of foods and sanitaries supplies. “The assistance for the people affected by the flood is a form of PT. ChemOne Indonesia’s concern and support for the West Kalimantan Provincial Government and the community.” he added. According to him, since the beginning of the flood, the company has been very concerned and prepared to help the affected community.
According to information from the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sintang, Sugianto, the flooding was caused due to heavy rains which resulted in the water discharge of the Melawi River and Kapuas River increasing since 21st October 2021.
